What is the Damage Minimisation Initiative?

DMI is an innovation in the protection of assets. It is a Solution Tool that can be applied to any product, any material and any situation where care and protection is paramount.
Why use DMI ?

We continuously strive to find ways in which we can 'do things better' As protective packaging experts we turned our expertise to creating a process that ensures precious and valuable items arrive at their destination safely and are ready to meet their intended operational requirements.

Within DMI, we have built a resource that rapidly and precisely specifies the overall protection requirements of our clients assets, while delivering a totally transparent view into the entire process. This means that many hidden costs, such as Non Recurring Engineering expenses, wastage and duplication are identified and eliminated.

How?

Design is at the core of all we do - and DMI is based on the very clear design principles that define our thinking, our performance and our outcomes.

Design, is the absolute key to innovation. It enables us to form the pathway for both a thorough understanding of 'The Need' and the ability to deliver solutions that perfectly fit the identified requirements,'The Benefit'.
1 ( Discover )

We look at the requirement and start thinking broadly before seeking an immediate solution. Is there a better material? an other way? a different approach? This is the first phase of our methodology, exploring all the possibilities, looking for inspiration and new ideas.

2 ( Define )

From thinking broadly, we now seek a definition. Within this phase we ask 'what matters most?' What are the areas that need specialist solutions?

3 ( Develop )

This is our road to 'Verification' where solutions are created and tested as necessary. The client relationship is crucial at this point to ensure that the solution approaching delivery does in fact perfectly meet the requirements, 'The Need'.

4 ( Deliver )

Finalising, Approval, Sign Off. Done, the item now has everything that it needs to be fully protected throughout it's journey.
