In September 2011, building upon the existing and proven manufacturing supply history with BAE Systems Australia Ltd, Form Cut’s DMI Process, Analysis | Concept | Detailing | Prototype | Production, was used to design and develop, then manufacture, the Through Life protective packaging support to protect highly valuable and sensitive defence assets; · Internally, within the warehouse and stores environment · Externally, between the warehouse and ship-side · Externally, returned to the OEM for re-verification, testing and updates Scope - To develop integrated protective packaging sets that comply as required with the Australian Defence
Packaging Standard DEF(AUST)1000C. Outcome - In the first 12 months, Form Cut has delivered 8 separate project sets to BAE Systems Periscopes and continues to enjoy a strong continuing supply relationship that continues to grow in opportunity. Working together, BAE has delivered sustainable SRP benefits to the Australian Government by mitigating the cost and lead-time implications incurred through lost time and damage. Example Engineered to deliver superior transit protection for sensitive test and verification equipment, this packing set is developed to comply with DEF(AUST)1000C, Part 9, Section 5 strongly demonstrating our design capability. This solution is manufactured from PEPAK FRAS foam, complete with recessed identification markings. |
